This marks the 15th Class 1A Championship for the Eureka High School Band at the Illinois State University Championships.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Pictured below is the 2022 EHS Marching Band performing in Prelims at the Illinois State Marching Band Championships. The band earned High Achievement in Music, Effect, and Visual Performance, 1st Place in Class 1A and a score of 79.30, the highest score any EHS marching band has scored in Prelims or Finals at ISU. In Finals, the band placed 12th of 15 bands, which is the highest placing a 1A band has ever achieved in ISU Finals history. Drum Majors Carly Bridgewater and Allison Wetzler, and Color Guard Captains Kammie Edwards and Hannah Worthen led the band to these history making achievements. Along the way, the Band won their class at every show in which they competed.

The Band's Prelim score of 71.9, and Finals score of 74.15, are the highest scores any EHS Band has earned at the ISU State Championships. Other awards earned in 2021 were 2nd Place Class 2A and 2nd Place in Finals at the Morton Invitational, 2nd Place Class 1A at Lincoln-Way, 1st Place Group B at Washington, and 1st Place Class 2A at Pontiac.

Pictured Below: Drum Majors Celeste Anderson and Angie Hartman at the 2018 Prospect Knight of Champions, holding trophies for Class 2A 1st Place, Best Music and Best Color Guard. During their tenure as Drum Majors for 2018 & 2019, the Band twice placed 2nd in Class 1A of the Illinois State Marching Band Championships at ISU, earning High Achievement in Visual Performance in 2019. Other notable performance accomplishments include placing 3rd in class at both the Knight of Champions and Downers Grove South Music Bowl in 2019, and 2nd in class at the Morton Invitational.

Though Finals was cancelled due to inclement weather, that didn't put a damper on the Band's season. Other awards earned during the marching season were: 2nd in Class, Washington Invitational; 1st in Class, Best Winds, Best Percussion, Best Auxiliary, Pontiac Indian Showdown; 2nd in Class, Lincoln-Way Invitational; 2nd in Class and Best Auxiliary, Western Illinois University Invitational.

This was the Band's 11th class win at ISU, and they finished 14th in Finals competition . Their score of 71.65 is the highest Prelim score any Eureka band has achieved at ISU. Other awards earned during the marching season were: 1st in Class, Best Auxiliary, Best Percussion, Washington Invitational: 1st in Class, Best Winds, Best Percussion, Pontiac Invitational; 1st in Class, Best Winds, Best Percussion, Best Auxiliary, Dunlap Invitational; 4th Place Class 2A Downers Grove South Music Bowl; 7th Place Class 2A, Providence Catholic Invitational.
